About the press . . .

New York indie-press veteran, Anthony Guilbert launched The Might Rogue Press in the Fall of 2008. An accomplished writer and teacher of writing, Guilbert first gained an interest in publishing as an undergraduate working for Writers Ink Press in NY. From 1988 to 2004, he held the position of press manager at Writers Ink. During this time, Guilbert also founded his own imprint, Karma Dog Editions. Karma Dog published 7 books of poetry, among them were volumes by: poet-biographer Vince Clemente, Swedish poet Siv Cedering, and Suffolk County Poet Laureate, David B. Axelrod.

After 15 years, Guilbert retired the Karma Dog imprint in 2005, when ‘Scooter’ the press mascot passed on. Although sentimental about the loss of his dog, Guilbert could not stay away from the small press world. Just two years later, Guilbert envisioned The Mighty Rogue while sitting on a beach in Santa Barbara, Ca.

As publisher of ‘The Mighty Rogue Press,’ Guilbert plans to continue his career as a promoter of independent publishing. Based in Boulder, Colorado, The Mighty Rogue plans to solicit writers from across the world. Unlike Karma Dog Editions, The Mighty Rogue Press has a much wider breadth, seeking to publish fiction & non-fiction prose and fine poetry.
